Both of our volleyball teams were in action this afternoon at Memorial High School! These teams are both very talented, but what stands out the most about them is how well they encourage and celebrate the successes of their teammates! #family 💙🏐🐾 ... See MoreSee Less

Yesterday, on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, many of our teachers found ways to incorporate the events in age-appropriate ways in their classrooms and Father Ron discussed the significance of the day briefly during his homily at Mass.
There are some wonderful, engaging children’s books that help introduce students to NYC, the twin towers, and the tragic events that unfolded that day. Mrs. Kinkade’s third graders read ‘The Man Who Walked Between the Towers’ about a young tight-rope walker, Philippe Petit, who performed a high-wire act between the Twin Towers in 1974.
Mrs. James’s middle school ELA students completed a flip book that allowed students to read and reflect on primary sources which included real newspaper articles from the days following the events.
Pictured below are Mrs. Wood’s second graders who enjoyed reading ‘The Little Chapel that Stood’. This story of bravery and courage in the midst of tragedy taught our students that no one is too small to make a difference! 🇺🇸🙏🗽🚒

5th-8th grade students laced up their running shoes today and ran the mile for gym class and it sure was a beautiful day for it! Our top finisher for the girls was 7th grader, Blakely Thompson-Wetzel who finished with a time of 6:06. 7th grader, Eli Dawson secured the top time for the boys with a time of 5:44. However, the greatest highlight was watching our students encourage each other! 🏃♂️☀️🏃♀️ ... See MoreSee Less
