Home: A safe haven and a comfort zone. A place to live with our families and enjoy with friends. A place to build memories and truly just be ourselves.
While your last walk off this court was a sad one, I hope youβll remember this old gym as a place where wonderful and fun memories were made. Even though none of you actually live here, several of you have quite literally grown up here. A few of you walked into this gym for your very first practice when you were only second graders. A few more have come along and joined you over the years, but no matter if you played here for 7 years or just 1, you are forever a part of this family, and this will always be a home to you.
Nothing, not even a heart-breaking loss in the last game you will play in this gym, can take away all the happy memories that were made here. Being a part of this school and this program is something special, itβs truly a gift. There are many that came before you, and there will be many more after you, but you are now a part of the history of this old gym. When you think about your time on this court, remember all the great times you had with one another. And no matter how many years pass, never forget that you are welcome here, and that you can always come home to visit!
